Sun. Sept. 27 Extra Credit- Today’s Exhausted Superkids Article Review 1 Paragraph

I do agree with what this article is saying, because I am one of these American high school students at 17 years old, often only taking about 4 hours of sleep. What I think about this article is that their studies show that students do care about what they’re doing daily than 8-10 hours of sleep, and I can connect because I care more about getting my work done than having few hours of sleep. It just surprises me that my school isn’t the only concern here. I’m glad that this article provided concern for their students’ health and that sleep is important to have for us teenagers. I do believe my sleep is important, but getting things done and pursuing my dreams get me to success- my dreams are more important than sleep. Also, this article argues that we are preparing for the real world situations, adult too only get 4-6 hours of sleep. It says that many star students attending universities aren’t able to cope with minor setback, doesn’t this include sleeping too? This is because they don’t have enough sleep. How can we really fix this situation? By getting less homework, less distractions, managing time. Us students need support on all these things. Can this also be the way students are eating too? What if they’re skipping meals…. Children shouldn’t be pulled back because of health concerns, it’s not fair. Students do deserve wiggle room/ time to get their work done but there health does come first overall because that’s how students truly learn, by having themselves physically and mentally focused in any case scenario. I’m glad that this article was published because now people know how most students in America feel and what they’re really up to.
